Comprehensive Care, Ongoing Support
Our outpatient ostomy program provides comprehensive care for all ostomy, intestinal fistula and gastric tube care needs. Our team provides education and support to patients, families, physicians, nursing home staff and home health care.
These highly trained experts help patients maintain independence while preserving dignity and respect.
Services include:
Pre-operative stoma site marking
Pre and post-operative ostomy care and education
Problem management, including issues with leaking and skin irritation
Colostomy irrigation instruction
Stoma measurement, product fitting and assistance with product selection
Yearly stoma assessment and product review for non-problematic ostomies
Treatment of peristomal skin complications
Education on coping, lifestyle modifications and caregiver support
Intestinal fistula pouching
Gastric tube stabilization, pouching and treatment of skin irritation
Ongoing communication and collaboration with surgeons, primary care providers and home health care nurses.
