LVAD Education for EMS
Left Ventricular Assist Devices can be an effective treatment for advanced heart failure patients who no longer respond to medications or other therapies. It is surgically implanted and assists a failing heart by helping it to pump more effectively. To improve EMS awareness if an emergency should occur, we offer education and instruction on the care and transportation of patients with a LVAD.
