The Christ College of Nursing and Health Sciences to Inaugurate New President

The Christ College of Nursing and Health Sciences will be inaugurating Dr. Gail E. Kist-Kline as its fourth president on Monday, October 15, 2018

The Christ College of Nursing and Health Sciences will be inaugurating Dr. Gail E. Kist-Kline as its fourth president on Monday, October 15, 2018 at 4:30 p.m. in the Auditorium on A Level at The Christ Hospital. A reception will immediately follow in the Centennial Pavilion.

A bagpipe procession will begin prior to the event (weather permitting) promptly at 4:15 p.m. at The Christ College. The procession consisting of College Administration, Faculty, Staff, Board Members, and Rev. Mitchell, all wearing regalia, will cross the center drive of The Christ Hospital en route to the hospital. Chairman of the Board, Cathy Hamblen, and President Kist-Kline will join the procession as it passes the Medical Office Building en route. Ceremonial addresses will be made by Cathy M. Hamblen, Chair, College Board of Directors; Dr. James S. Wendel, Past Chair, College Board of Directors; Alexis White, President, Student Congress; and Arturo Polizzi, President and CEO of The Christ Hospital.

Dr. Kist-Kline began her role as president of The Christ College on July 1, 2018. She replaced Dr. Gary Pack, who retired on June 30, 2018. Before joining The Christ College, she spent over three decades as an educator in Ohio as a high school teacher, faculty member and administrator at Miami University for eight years, Assistant Principal in the Lakota Local Schools, Principal at St. Joseph Consolidated School and Princeton City Schools and Curriculum Coordinator at Princeton, Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent of Wyoming City Schools, and most recently the Superintendent of Mason City Schools.

Dr. Kist-Kline is currently the Immediate Past President of the Miami University (Oxford) Alumni Association, and has served her alma mater in a variety of capacities for many years. She served on the Board of The Christ College of Nursing and Health Sciences from 2012-2017, member of Grant Us Hope Board (a non-profit focused on reducing teen suicide), 2018 DePaul Christo Rey Board member, Circle of Red Heart Association member, and a graduate of Leadership Cincinnati Class 36.

“This role brings together many of my past experiences in higher education, health sciences, and leadership along with my love of embracing new approaches to meet the evolving needs of health care and higher education,” said Kist-Kline.
