Dr. Russell received her undergraduate degree from Wittenberg University in Springfield, OH, and attended medical school at the University of Toledo College of Medicine. She completed her residency at the University of Cincinnati in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Russell is a two-time recipient of the Esprit de Corps Award, a peer-selected award granted to the obstetrics and gynecology resident who best exemplifies the spirit of cooperation and congeniality. She was also the 2010 recipient of the Sam Seeds Memorial Residents' Day Award for her scientific paper "Influence of Adolescence and Obesity on the Rate of Stillbirth," and the 2011 V. Bradley Roberts Memorial Award for demonstrating outstanding ability in operative gynecology.
Dr. Russell is a member of The American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and has presented numerous oral presentations in her field.
