Sarah Kelm, AGACNP, is a board-certified nurse practitioner with The Christ Hospital Physicians – Heart & Vascular who specializes in providing critical care for patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at The Christ Hospital in Mt. Auburn.
She has significant experience in providing critical care in a variety of settings as both a registered nurse and as a nurse practitioner. She was inspired to pursue a career in nursing by her mother, who was also a nurse.
Sarah’s care philosophy is centered on tailoring care to each individual patient and keeping them and their families involved in making decisions throughout the course of their care. To help her patients and their families feel empowered in the decision-making process, she encourages them to speak up for themselves and to always be willing to ask a lot of questions.
She holds an Associate of Science in Nursing from The Christ College of Nursing and Health Sciences, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ohio University, and a Master of Science in Nursing as an Adult-Gero-Acute Care Registered Nurse from the University of Cincinnati. She is certified by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses.
When not providing care, Sarah values time with her husband and her two boys. She also enjoys spending time outdoors, boating, hiking, and cooking. She’s especially excited about her newest hobby – watercolor painting.
