Lauren Cambridge, APRN, is and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with The Christ Hospital Physicians – Heart & Vascular, who provides inpatient critical care in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit.
Lauren brings extensive experience in providing cardiac and emergency care. She was inspired to pursue a career in medicine by her father, an emergency medicine physician of more than 30 years, and her mother, who has provided a lifetime of compassionate care for Lauren’s sister, who has special needs.
She values multi-specialty, patient-centered care. “Excellent patient care requires a team approach,” she says. “Working at a team, with the patient at the center, can have a great impact on their outcomes.” As the center of that care, she encourages her patients to always be willing to ask questions.
Lauren holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Xavier University and a Master of Science in Nursing in Adult-Gero Acute Care from the University of Cincinnati. She is certified in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support by the American Heart Association.
She enjoys spending her free time with her husband, two children and two dogs. She also enjoys traveling, swimming, and working in the garden.
