CINCINNATI (April 15, 2024) – The Christ College of Nursing and Health Sciences has named Amy DeMelo-Wutke, Ed.D, as President beginning June 24, 2024. Dr. DeMelo-Wutke will replace Gail Kist-Kline, Ph.D. who retired in December 2023.
Since 2017, she has served as President of Cox College in Springfield, Missouri. While there, she helped expand degree programs and shepherded unprecedented growth in a variety of healthcare-related educational programs. In her role as President of The Christ College of Nursing and Health Sciences, she will lead efforts to fulfill the mission of the College, crafting a future-forward vision in healthcare education by building on its reputation as a leader in the Tri-State.

Her experiences are diverse and include serving as an Assistant Principal for Springfield Catholic High School, the Director of the Springfield Catholic School System in Missouri where she helped Springfield Catholic High School become nationally recognized as a top 50 school in the country while leading a $14 million renovation and expansion of their campus.
Prior to becoming President at Cox College, Dr. DeMelo-Wutke served for 10 years as their Vice President for Academic Affairs at the school developing innovative programs to ensure excellence in the educational offerings and the preparation of students.

Dr. DeMelo-Wutke was raised in Boston, Massachusetts, has a Bachelor’s degree in History from Providence College, a Master’s in Secondary Administration from Southwest Baptist University and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Amy currently lives in Springfield, Missouri with her husband Sam, who is an athletic director of Logan-Rogersville School District. The two have 4 adult children.
