A graduate of the University of Utah, Dr. Wright also earned his medical degree there. He went on to spend two years in an orthopaedic surgery internship and residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics. He completed his anesthesiology residency at the University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City, and then did a cardiovascular anesthesiology fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.

Before joining AAC in 2004, Dr. Wright worked as a staff anesthesiologist at hospitals in Cleveland and Fairfield, Ohio. He is a past president of the Cleveland Society of Anesthesiologists, and a member of the Ohio State Medical Association, the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the Ohio Society of Anesthesiologists.

Dr. Wright is board certified in Transesophageal Echogram (TEE) and board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology.
