Andrew Gantzer, DO, is a board-certified physician with The Christ Hospital Physicians – Primary Care who specializes in Family Medicine and treats patients of all ages at the Loveland location.
Dr. Gantzer was inspired to pursue a career in medicine by a desire to help others and an appreciation for the complexity of the human body. Collaboration with the patient is vital to his approach to providing care. “My role is to work with them to identify a problem or problems, explain what I think is causing them and why, and to offer options on how to best proceed,” he says. “But the patient should play an important role in deciding among those options.” He adds that when a patient is open and honest with their doctor and themselves, it makes that collaboration more effective.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Cincinnati. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky, Ohio. He is board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians.
Dr. Gantzer is a native of Cincinnati, an avid supporter of the Cincinnati Bearcats, and he has lived in Ohio his entire life. He places great value in his family and in his free time he enjoys backwoods camping, video games, and fine dining and cooking.
