Amy Million, MD, is a board-certified physician with The Christ Hospital Physicians who specializes in Obstetrics & Gynecology. She sees patients at the Mt. Auburn, Mason, and Montgomery locations of Mt. Auburn Obstetrics & Gynecology Associates.
Dr. Million began her career as an English teacher but discovered a fascination with medicine during a summer job at a teaching hospital. She was inspired to follow through on that interest and pivoted toward a career in medicine.
She is a proponent of preventative care and emphasizes the importance of education as part of her role, especially in communicating how much diet and exercise can impact her patients’ health, as well as the care options in front of them. “It’s important for a provider to take the time to explain what is happening and what the options are to make it better,” she says.
Dr. Million has a strong interest in taking care of women through all stages of their life and advocates for the importance of maintaining a relationship with an OB/GYN as they navigate the changes they experience throughout the years. She has vast experience in treating women of menopausal age, and she has a special interest in hormone replacement therapy.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education and a Master of Arts in Education at the University of Florida before returning to the University of Florida College of Medicine to earn her Doctor of Medicine. She also completed her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Florida College of Medicine where she served as Chief Resident. She is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as the North American Menopause Society.
In her free time, Dr. Million enjoys reading and cooking. She also follows her own advice by staying active through running, swimming, tennis, and yoga. She enjoys travelling to the mountains to ski and back to her home state of Florida for some time on the beach. She holds motherhood to be her greatest accomplishment and is extremely proud of her two grown children.
