Krishna Gannamraj, DO, is a fellowship trained pulmonary critical care specialist with The Christ Hospital Physicians – Pulmonary Medicine.
Dr. Gannamraj grew up in Cincinnati. He counts his parents among his biggest supporters in pursuing a career in medicine. “They encouraged me to pursue my dreams and never give up,” Dr. Gannamraj says. “I had great mentors throughout my journey in becoming a pulmonary critical care physician who showed me what it is to be a good physician.”
“Patient care comes first in my practice of medicine,” Dr. Gannamraj says. “I will fight to be your advocate. Whether it's at bedside explaining the disease process or helping them understand the next steps, I want to treat the whole person with compassion and dedication.”
Dr. Gannamraj graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in biology. He completed medical school at Lincoln Memorial University – DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, Tennessee. He completed his internal medicine residency and pulmonary critical care fellowship at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, where he was named Intern of the Year.
Dr. Gannamraj is board certified in internal medicine. He is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians and the American Thoracic Society.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Gannamraj and his wife spending time with their two sons. They are big foodies and are always on the lookout for great new restaurants. Dr. Gannamraj also enjoys outdoor activities including hiking, golf, and tennis.
