As an urologist, Dr. Cox specializes in the surgical and medical treatment of diseases involving the urinary system, with an emphasis in the surgical management of urologic cancers. Dr. Cox has a particular interest in performing robotic-assisted laparoscopic surgeries for urological cancers of the prostate, kidney, and bladder. He is also skilled at performing robotic-assisted surgery for reconstruction of the urinary tract.
Dr. Cox also has interests in general urology, including treatment of kidney stones, erectile dysfunction, enlarged prostates, male and female incontinence, and overactive bladder. He also performs vasectomy procedures.
Dr. Cox grew up in Florence, KY, and earned his bachelor of science in biochemistry from the College of Mt. St. Joseph in Cincinnati and his medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He completed his urology training at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.
Dr. Cox is an associate member of the American Urological Association, and is licensed in Ohio and Kentucky. He has been designated as Board Eligible by the American Board of Urology.
Dr. Cox is an avid sports and music fan. His favorite teams include the Cincinnati Bengals, Cincinnati Reds, and Louisville basketball.
