Dr. Brannan earned his B.S. in biology from the University of Cincinnati and his medical degree from the University of Toledo. He completed his preliminary internal medicine residency at The Christ Hospital and his physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at Rusk Rehabilitation Center at the University of Missouri.

He is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, American Associations of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine, American Institute of Ultrasound Medicine, Ohio State Medical Association, North American Spine Society, International Spinal Intervention Society, Cancer Care Committee at TriHealth, Cincinnati Academy of Medicine, University of Cincinnati Alumni Association and the University of Toledo Alumni Association.
