Priyanka Kakar, MD is a board-certified physician with The Christ Hospital Physicians – Primary Care who specializes in family medicine. She provides care for patients of all ages at the Anderson location.
Dr. Kakar chose a career in medicine because of a desire to help others and make a lasting positive impact on their lives. She provides compassionate, patient-centered care with a focus on listening closely to her patients, respecting their values and concerns, and working together with them to make informed decisions.
She encourages her patients to take an active role in improving their health, and that starts with positive lifestyle changes. “Even the most obvious changes like a balanced diet, exercise, and regular checkups can make a big difference in your health,” she says.
Dr. Kakar earned a Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery from Government Medical College Miraj and completed her residency in family medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences – Area Health Education Center. She is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, and she is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
In her free time, Dr. Kakar enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
