Katherine Williamson, DO, is a board-certified physician with The Christ Hospital Physicians who specializes in obstetrics & gynecology. She provides care for women at the Eastgate and Southgate locations.
Dr. Williamson chose a career in obstetrics and gynecology for the unique opportunity to care for women through all stages of life, and she continues to be inspired by the privilege of being a trusted partner for her patients. “It’s an honor to be trusted to help women navigate pivotal life events, to advocate for their long-term health, and to empower them to make informed decisions about their well-being,” she says. “The ability to integrate both primary care and complex surgical interventions within one specialty is profoundly rewarding.”
Her partnership-centered approach to care is foundational to her of empowering women through evidence-based education to help them make informed decisions about their health. “I am committed to providing compassionate, comprehensive care that addresses the whole woman across every stage of her life,” she says.
Dr. Williamson encourages her patients to embrace their role in that partnership by trusting their instincts and by advocating fiercely for themselves. “If something does not feel right, if your symptoms persist, or if a diagnosis does not sit well with you, speak up,” she says. “My role is to listen without judgment, validate your concerns, and use my expertise to investigate until we find answers and a solution that works for you.” she says.
Dr. Williamson earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Kentucky and her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of Pikeville – Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Richmond University Medical Center. She is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology, and she is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecologists.
As a proud wife and mother of two boys, Dr. Williamson enjoys opportunities to focus on her family in her free time. They love to explore family-friendly attractions around Greater Cincinnati such as the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Center, the Newport Aquarium, and the Cincinnati Museum Center. The family also stays active with the help of their beloved dogs. She and her husband are avid foodies and enjoy trying new local restaurants.
