Eric Packard, APRN, is board-certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with The Christ Hospital Physicians – Heart & Vascular who provides inpatient care to patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. She brings extensive experience providing acute cardiac care as both a registered nurse and as an advanced practice provider.
Erin was inspired to pursue a nursing career by the care provided for her grandmother by ICU nurses. She later decided to pursue acute care from her experience working alongside physicians as a registered nurse in a Cath Lab. She takes a whole-person approach to caring for her patients and for their families by seeing to their physical and spiritual needs.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Kettering College and a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus in Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, from Ohio University. She is certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is a member of the American Nurses Association.
When not caring for patients, she enjoys travelling with her husband to watch the Pittsburgh Penguins in the NHL and the Pittsburgh Steelers in the NFL. She also enjoys reading, walking her dogs in her neighborhood and spending time with her family.
