Christi Cowell, FNP-BC, is a family nurse practitioner with The Christ Hospital Physicians – Primary Care. She sees patients of all ages, including pediatrics, teenagers, adults, and seniors, providing a wide range of services from annual physicals and wellness screenings to management of complex chronic conditions and mental health.
“Building relationships with my patients and their families is what keeps me going,” Christi says. “We need to know what works well for you and what doesn’t to provide you the best care.”
Christi is a life-long learner and enjoys passing along new information to her patients. “Educating patients is important so they understand their medications and how to improve their well-being with exercise and lifestyle changes,” Christi says. “It gives patients a better sense of control of their overall health.”
Christi earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on Family Nurse Practice at Northern Kentucky University, where she was inducted into the Golden Key International Honor Society.
Outside of medicine, Christi and her husband enjoy biking and kayaking. She’s also an avid reader and always enjoys finding a good book.
