Now in its second year, the Inspiring Youth to Achieve Their Dream: Mock Interviews event took place at The Christ Hospital in Mt. Auburn on Wednesday, March 18 from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. Students from Robert A. Taft High School took part in mock interviews and practice sessions designed to replicate a real job interview. Panelists helping include team members from a variety of specialties in the healthcare field.

In the weeks leading up to the event, students participated in classroom workshops led by Christ Hospital employees. During these sessions, professionals shared their personal career journeys and the experiences that led them to healthcare. Students then rotated through interactive learning stations focused on networking 101, dress code and first impressions, interview do’s and don’ts and effective communication. The initiative is made possible through a partnership between The Christ Hospital Health Network, Cincinnati Youth Collaborative, and Jobs for Cincinnati Graduates. Research shows that when young people connect directly with professionals in their fields of interest, their chances of success in those careers increase significantly. By interacting with healthcare workers, students gain firsthand insight into workplace expectations, communication skills, and professional pathways.
