Dr. Koo earned his bachelor of science in biology from Emory University and his medical degree from Mercer University in Macon, GA. He completed his fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at the Indiana Hand to Should Center.
He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the Georgia Orthopaedic Society. He joined Beacon Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in 2013 and his current practice focus is on the comprehensive treatment of upper extremities including: fractures, tendonitis, arthritis and nerve and tendon injuries from the shoulder to the fingers.
Dr. Koo is fluent in English and Korean and in his spare time, he enjoys playing softball, basketball, reading and weight lifting.
