Dr. Regina Kohls is a board-certified Family Physician. She completed her undergraduate studies at Miami University and earned her medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. She completed her Family Medicine residency at Northwestern University in Chicago where she served as chief resident. Dr. Kohls began her career in Chicago and enjoyed part-time teaching as an Assistant Professor at Northwestern University Medical School. She earned the Illinois Academy of Family Physicians Top 10 Teacher of the Year and the AAFP Foundation Parke-Davis Teacher Development Award.
In 2000, Dr. Kohls returned to her hometown of Cincinnati. Since her return to Cincinnati, Dr. Kohls has been recognized as “Top Doctor” in Cincinnati Magazine 2014-2022. In May 2024 she was named “Family Physician of the Year” by the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians. This award honors one outstanding family physician from Ohio who demonstrates extraordinary dedication to health care, inspires peers as a role model in family medicine, and actively engages with the community.
Her areas of interest include preventive care and cardiovascular risk factor reduction. When not seeing patients, Dr. Kohls enjoys spending time with her family and exercising outdoors.
