Dr. Douglas C. Schuckmann is a board certified Podiatric Surgeon with primary specialty interest in surgical and non-surgical management of foot and ankle disorders. This includes wound care, limb salvage, reconstruction and trauma. In October 2012, Dr. Schuckmann became the Division Chief of the Podiatry Department and Program Director of the Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency of The Christ Hospital. This program prepares and trains the residents in (podiatric) medicine and surgery with additional focus in rear foot and ankle surgery.
A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Dr. Schuckmann graduated from St. Xavier HS, University of Cincinnati and Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine, Miami Shores, Florida. After completing a surgical residency at Parkway Regional Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida, he relocated back to Cincinnati.
Dr. Schuckmann has multiple office locations, including: Wound Care Centers at The Christ Hospital (MOB and Green= Township/Harrison), Dearborn County Hospital, Lawrenceburg and Batesville, Indiana.
Dr. Schuckmann is a Diplomat of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association.
Dr. Schuckmann is presently a Medical Officer in the United States Navy and is credentialed at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Bethesda, Maryland. He currently serves as the Officer in Charge of the 4th Medical Battalion, Surgical Company Alpha, DET 2, Marine Logistic Group, United States Marine Corps, Cincinnati, Ohio.
