Erin Russell, FNP-BC, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with The Christ Hospital - Diabetes & Endocrine Center who provides outpatient care at the Red Bank location.
Erin was inspired to pursue a career in healthcare by her aunt who was a registered nurse, and by her own experience during a hospital stay as a child for asthma exacerbations.
She has years of experience in treating a variety of conditions that can impact a patient’s overall health, which has influenced her holistic approach to providing care. She focusses on a strong patient-provider relationship and open two-way communications to ensure that her patients feel empowered and have a solid understanding of their conditions and options for the best possible outcomes. “Working together to improve a patient’s quality of life is what makes medicine so rewarding for me,” she says.
Erin earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Cincinnati College of Nursing. She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
When not providing care, Erin values spending free time with her husband and five children. They stay active by sharing in activities such as attending soccer games, taking walks, exploring new parks, and going to the pool in the summer. As a health and wellness advocate, she practices what she preaches by exercising with her husband and finding new healthier options when cooking meals for her family. Though she admits to having a soft spot for tacos, especially from her favorite restaurant, Bakersfield.
