Denise Doan, MSN, APRN, AGACNP-BC, is a board-certified nurse practitioner with The Christ Hospital Physicians – Pulmonary Medicine with extensive experience in pulmonary critical care. She provides outpatient care at the Mt. Auburn, Anderson, Mason, Springfield Township, and Batesville locations.
Denise has a passion for caring for others and helping people get back to a better state of health. She takes a holistic approach to patient care that accounts for the manner in which all aspects of a patient’s life and their environment can have an impact on their overall health and outcomes.
She advises her patients on the importance of collaboration and open communication with their providers. “When you communicate your symptoms and your healthcare goals, we can work together to develop a treatment plan to effectively manage your diagnosed condition,” she says. “It’s also important for you to feel comfortable asking questions to be able to understand your overall health and treatment options in order to make informed decisions.”
Denise earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a minor in Philosophy from Northern Kentucky University, and a Master of Science in Nursing as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from the University of Cincinnati. She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialling Center and is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and the American College of Chest Physicians.
In her free time, Denise stays busy with her family, including her three daughters – two of which have specials needs. She enjoys traveling and meeting new people, experiencing different cultures, foods. She nourishes her creative side through outlets such as painting, decorating, crafting. She also loves history, antiques for their historical significance / craftsmanship and curling up with a good book.
