Dr. Jewell Gaulding grew up in Cincinnati. She completed her undergraduate studies at the Ohio State University, graduating with Honors with a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Genetics and a minor in Psychology. She then earned her medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. Dr. Gaulding completed her intern year in internal medicine here at the Christ Hospital and her dermatology residency at Henry Ford Hospital Department of Dermatology in Detroit, MI. Her areas of interest include medical dermatology and surgical dermatology.
Dr. Gaulding has served in several capacities as a volunteer, such as providing skin screenings, educational programming, and tutoring young students. She also has multiple publications in dermatology journals and textbooks and has given presentations at national conventions. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Skin of Color Society.
When not at the hospital, she enjoys traveling, exploring different recipes, and spending time with family.
