Dr. Palmer loves how the field of orthopedics is constantly evolving, offering him the opportunity to bring new and better treatments and technologies to his patients. “The evolution of how we’re able to care for our patients is an exciting part of our field,” he says.

As a former Air Force surgeon who served at both Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and in Afghanistan, Dr. Palmer gained extensive trauma surgery experience as well as lifetime friendships in the military. “There is a bond among veterans that is very special to me,” he says.

Prior to his Air Force active duty, Dr. Palmer earned his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. After fulfilling his military commitment, he completed the Orthopedic Sports Medicine Fellowship at Cincinnati Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center.
