The Christ College of Nursing & Health Sciences Inaugurates New President

Inaguration to Be Held on November 6

Cincinnati (Nov. 6, 2024) – The Christ College of Nursing & Health Sciences will be inaugurating Dr. Amy Wutke as its fifth president on Wednesday, Nov. 6th at 4:00 p.m. in the Auditorium on A Level at The Christ Hospital. A reception will immediately follow in the Centennial Pavilion.

A bagpipe procession will begin prior to the event (weather permitting) promptly at 3:45PM at The Christ College. The procession consisting of College Administration, faculty, staff, board members and Rev. Doug Mitchell, all wearing regalia, will cross the center drive of The Christ Hospital enroute to the auditorium. President Wutke and Chairman of the College Board of Directors, Dr. James Wendel, will join the procession as it passes the Medical Office Building. Ceremonial addresses will be made by Dr. James Wendel, Hanna Berkompas, President of Student Congress, Mary Page Dalrymple, Chair of Faculty Senate, and Deborah Hayes, President/CEO The Christ Hospital. Dr. Wutke will also give a President’s address.

Dr. Amy Wutke began her role as president of The Christ College on June 24th, 2024. She formerly served as President of Cox College in Springfield, Missouri. She earned a bachelor’s degree in History at Providence College, a master’s degree in Secondary Administration from Southwest Baptist University and a doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Dr. Amy Wutke spent her first three months at the College meeting stakeholders, faculty, staff and students to assess opportunities for creating best student experiences and a new strategic plan.
