Left ventricular assist device –A left ventricular assist device (LVAD) is an advanced treatment option for end-stage heart failure. It's a mechanical pump that's implanted in the heart to help it pump more effectively. The Christ Hospital is the only hospital in Ohio pioneering the use of Impella 2.0, the most advanced and minimally invasive LVAD.
Heart Link Program – Nurse specialists stay connected to our heart patients after they leave the hospital. Patients get personal guidance on diet, exercise, medication and doctor follow-ups to help them transition to self care.
Telemedicine for patients at home –We offer qualifying recently discharged patients monitoring and live audio/visual interaction with heart experts at The Christ Hospital from the comfort of home or a care facility.
