Todd Kelley, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with The Christ Hospital Physicians – Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. He is a specialist in joint replacement surgery including hip and knee replacements. He sees patients at The Christ Hospital Joint & Spine Center in Mt. Auburn, and the Red Bank and Anderson outpatient centers.
Dr. Kelley says he approaches care for his patients as he would for a family member or friend. He also cares for each patient as an individual out of respect for every one of them having their own needs and goals. “I’m happy to discuss potential surgery with my patients or even discuss non-operative treatments for conditions such as hip and knee pain or arthritis,” he says. He is also an advocate for patients improving the outcomes of joint replacement surgery by keeping themselves as healthy as possible leading up to the procedure. “Help me help you,” he says.
Dr. Kelley earned a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and his Medical Degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He completed a residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and a fellowship in Adult Reconstructive Surgery at St. Joseph Hospital in Towson, Maryland.
He is board-certified by The American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, the American Orthopedic Association, the Ohio State Medical Association, the Freiberg Society, and the Cincinnati Arthritis Foundation. He has been named one of Cincinnati Magazine’s “Top Docs” for the past 10 years.
One of Dr. Kelley’s true passions is research. He is currently very active in this arena and has written numerous peer-reviewed publications and presentations on a variety of topics in the area of both hip and knee replacement. This passion allows him to stay up to date with current medical literature and offer high quality comprehensive patient care. He enjoys teaching and presenting this information to colleagues and the general public.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Kelley enjoys spending his free time with his wife and serving as the biggest fan of his children in all of their endeavors including robotics club, soccer, track, cross country, swimming and taekwondo.
