Cheryl Herrle, APRN, MSN, CDCES, CPT, is a board-certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with The Christ Hospital Diabetes & Endocrine Center.
She was inspired to pursue a career in medicine, specifically in the treatment of diabetes by her father, who she calls her "superhero" and who was a Type 1 diabetic. Her care philosophy is centered on empowering her patients and always approaching their care with compassion. Her motto is "people don't care how much you know until you show how much you care." This approach has not only helped Cheryl to be nominated for the Florence Nightingale award five times but also was a finalist in 2000 and won a Dean's award in 2010.
Cheryl holds a Diploma in Nursing from the Xavier University/Deaconess Program, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati, and a Master's of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friend, reading, attending church and hiking. Cheryl also enjoys being involved in her community in relation to diabetes and has served as President of the local diabetes educator group for several years.
