James C. Pritchard, M.D. is an internist located in the Kenwood area of Cincinnati. With over 30 years of medical experience, Dr. Pritchard specializes in the prevention and treatment of adult patients presenting with a wide range of medical issues including coronary artery disease, diabetes, hypertension and cancer. He also diagnoses and treats acute primary care illnesses such as influenza, injuries, allergies and asthma. He is a graduate of University of Dayton with an undergraduate degree in Biology and minors in chemistry and psychology. Dr. Pritchard then attended University of Cincinnati School of Medicine and completed his residency at The Christ Hospital, where he served as Chief resident/assistant program director.
Dr. Pritchard has spent his career in private practice but has served in several leadership positions including various hospital committees for peer review and medical executive committees at 2 hospitals. Most recently he served 4 years as inpatient medical director at another regional hospital before returning to The Christ Hospital to continue his practice.
Research is one of his interests having been primary and sub-investigator on various studies involving cholesterol, hypertension, diabetes, osteoarthritis and obesity.
He has also participated in charitable fundraising for Colon Cancer and American Diabetes Association. The practice staff and organization has raised well over $200,000 in donations in the last 20 years.
Dr. Pritchard is married, has two daughters and spends his free time playing music, going to soccer games, concerts and dressage competitions.
