David Brodbeck, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant with The Christ Hospital Physicians – Spine Surgery, who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions of the spine. He provides outpatient care at the Blue Ash and Mount Auburn locations.
David’s love for science and desire to help others find relief from medical conditions drove him to pursue a career in medicine, and he spent the first 26 years providing care to spine surgery patients. He now applies those years of experience, knowledge and expertise to providing in-office diagnosis and non-surgical care.
His approach to care is treating each patient with the concern and passion that he would offer to a family member. He gives full attention to each patient to help them get a clear diagnosis and to work with them on a non-operative treatment plan, when possible, to help them find quick relief. When a patient’s condition requires surgery, he assists with a referral to the appropriate specialists.
David is a strong advocate for his patients to actively listen – to both their bodies, and to their clinicians. “When you have a spine condition listen to what your body is telling you and be smart about the activities you pursue so as not to create new problems or make things worse,” he says. “And remember that your providers have your best interests at heart, and we want you to get better so you can go back to living your life without pain.”
He earned a Bachelor’s of Science from Xavier University and an Associate’s of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the Kettering College of Medical Arts. He is certified by the National Board on Certification of Physician Assistants, and he is a member of the North American Spine Society.
In his free time, David and his wife enjoy Jeep rides, live music, and enjoying great food. “Give me a great steak dinner, burger or Italian meal with my favorite people and that is my happy place,” he says. They also enjoy traveling with their two grown children, especially to beach destinations.
