Dr. Bohinski earned his undergraduate degree from John Carroll University in Cleveland. He received his doctorate in molecular and developmental biology and his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati, where he also completed his residency in neurosurgery. Dr. Bohinski completed a fellowship in spinal and cranial neuro-oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Center and a fellowship in complex spinal deformity surgery at Northwestern University Memorial Hospital.
He is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and his areas of expertise include: minimally-invasive spine surgery, discectomy, decompression, spinal fusion and artificial disc replacement; spine deformity surgery, including kyphosis and scoliosis; tumors of the brain, spine and pituitary gland and Chiari malformation.
Dr. Bohinski is a member of: the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS), Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS), AANS/CNS Section on Disorders of the Spine and Peripheral Nerves, AANS/CNS Section on Tumors, American Medical Association, Frank H. Mayfield Society, North American Spine Society and the Pituitary Tumor Network Association.
