Robert Barnett, CNP, is a board-certified nurse practitioner with The Christ Hospital Physicians – Primary Care. He specializes in internal medicine and sees patients 18 years and older at the Eastgate location.
Robert was inspired to pursue a career in nursing by his mother, who worked in healthcare for 47 years. That connection to his family is also foundational to his approach to providing care. “I treat every patient like I would my own family,” he says. “Every patient means something to somebody, and I don’t take that lightly.” He encourages his patients to be the best of themselves and he takes a collaborative approach to helping them achieve that. His approach has helped him to be a 12-time Daisy Award nominee.
He earned an Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Southern State Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ohio University, and a Master’s Degree in Nursing as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse from Northern Kentucky University. He is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
As a vested father and spouse, Robert loves spending time with his family in his free time and he says the greatest joys in his life come from time spent with his kids. He especially enjoys coaching their baseball, basketball, and soccer teams. He also enjoys deer hunting, fishing, classic cars, playing softball, and golf.
