Abayomi Ogunderu, MD, FACP, is a board-certified physician with The Christ Hospital Physicians – Heart & Vascular who specializes in critical care medicine. He provides care for patients at the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit in Mt. Auburn.
Dr. Ogunderu was inspired to pursue a career in medicine by his father and his godfather, and his philosophy toward providing care is to take a minimalist and focused approach toward achieving the highest quality of care and the best outcomes. He advocates for patients to prioritize actions and a mindset that focus on their wellbeing. “Good health is the ultimate wealth,” he says.
He earned his medical degree at Lago State University College of Medicine. He completed a residency in internal medicine with Rochester Regional Health at Unity Hospital and a fellowship in critical care medicine at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Ogunderu is certified for both internal medicine and critical care medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and he is a member of the American College of Physicians and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
In his free time, Dr. Ogunderu enjoys watching soccer and travelling.
