Jordan Ryan, MD, is a board-certified physician with The Christ Hospital Physicians – Primary Care who specializes in family medicine. He sees patients of all ages at the Springfield Township location. Dr. Ryan brings extensive experience as a physician in a variety of settings from his time practicing medicine as an officer in the United States Air Force. In fact, he considers his greatest medical accomplishment to be having the honor of taking care of military men and women and their families during tours in South Korea and England.
Dr. Ryan pursued a career in medicine because it provides him with his perfect mix of social interaction, science, and art. “Our body is so fascinating and resilient. I love learning about it and sharing what I know with my patients,” he says. He believes that everybody deserves a good doctor who looks out for them and who is flexible to provide individualized care that is best for them.
His care philosophy is centered on using evidenced-informed medicine in a manner that meets the individual needs and goals of each unique patient to help them improve their quality of life. “I hope to take the burden of navigating the increasingly complex medical system away so that patients can focus on what they can do for themselves to live healthy, quality lives,” he says.
Dr. Ryan earned a Bachelor of Arts in biochemistry and a Bachelor of Science in engineering physics from Miami University. He earned his medical degree from Indiana University and completed his residency at Scott Air Force Base/St. Louis University. He is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Medicine.
When not providing care, Dr. Ryan enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He enjoys sports, especially soccer, in which he appreciates the opportunity to coach his children. As a family, they enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking and camping. Dr. Ryan and his family are happy to be back in Cincinnati where they enjoy the local food, especially the chili.
