Emily Newton, CNP, is a board-certified nurse practitioner with The Christ Hospital Physicians – Hematology & Oncology who provides outpatient care at the Mt. Auburn, Green Township and Montgomery locations.
Emily has extensive nursing experience providing care to patients with cancer. She was inspired to pursue a career in medicine by the care she once received as a patient in a hospital. “I knew from that experience that I wanted to be a person of comfort for those who are suffering,” she says. The foundation of her approach to care is the knowledge that each patient is an individual with different needs. She also takes a compassionate approach to empowering her patients to live long and healthy lives.
“Your own health is the most important thing you can give yourself,” Emily says. “Preventing disease, finding the right place to be treated, and having the best possible team caring for you when needed is very important.”
Emily earned an Associates Degree in Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Christ College of Nursing and Health Sciences. She earned a Master of Science from the University of Cincinnati as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is board certified as a Certified Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
In her free time, Emily enjoys spending time with her family, especially with outdoor activities such as boating, riding RZR side-by-sides and scuba diving. She is an avid fan of The Ohio State University Buckeyes and enjoys travelling, but does appreciate her hometown Skyline Chili.
