About Aruna A. Puthota, DO

Dr. Aruna Puthota completed her undergraduate studies at the State University of New York at New Paltz, where she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science. She served as a certified first responder before earning her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Puthota then relocated to Ohio for the Psychiatry-Family Medicine Combined five-year residency program at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and The Christ Hospital where she served as Chief Resident and received the Gold Humanism in Teaching and Resident as Teacher awards.

During her free time, Dr. Puthota enjoys movie nights and spending time outdoors with her husband and children, kayaking, dancing, travelling and trying new foods.

Dr. Puthota is the best by far! She knows when I'm having a hard time before I even open my mouth. She's a great listener. She explains potential updates to my care very clearly. She lets me take time to decide on updates to my medications. She thoroughly explains diagnoses. She's literally the best doctor I've ever had, when it concerns my mental health. Even when I'm down she makes me feel better about the decisions we make in my care.

Even though we spent a limited time during my first appointment, I can tell already that Dr. Puthota will exceed my expectations formed by the reviews I read. She is attentive, and she really seems to care and wants to get my input so we can make the best decisions in my care to achieve an optimal outcome.
