Samantha Leconey is a physician assistant with The Christ Hospital Physicians. She provides inpatient hospital care with a focus on urogynecology and women’s health.
Growing up with severe asthma and frequent doctor appointments, Samantha took an early interest in a career in medicine. “I loved my pediatrician and asthma specialist and wanted to be just like them,” Samantha said. In high school, she started shadowing family members who worked in healthcare and decided to focus on becoming a physician assistant.
Samantha graduated with Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Cincinnati, where she also swam as a Division 1 athlete. She earned a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Kettering College where she received the Academic & Clinical Distinction Award. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Ohio Academy of Physician Assistants.
Samantha and her husband enjoy biking, swimming, and running.
