E-visits: access care without leaving your home

E-visits are now available for our primary care, gynecology and dermatology patients for certain non-urgent conditions and symptoms.

Simply log in to your MyChart, answer questions about your symptoms or healthcare needs, and you'll receive a return message from your provider who will evaluate your symptoms, provide medical advice, and, if needed, send a prescription to your pharmacy. (E-visits are exchanges of secure messages between you and your health care provider. They are not "video visits.")

E-visits may be submitted through MyChart or our Mobile App 24 hours a day/seven days a week. Your provider will respond the same or next business day.

E-visit eligibility

Because the in-person interaction with your provider is important to your overall care, you must have been seen in person at least once within the last 2 years to submit an e-visit. You must also have an active MyChart or Mobile App account with The Christ Hospital and be 18 years or older, or for minors, a parent or guardian must have obtained MyChart Proxy Access.

Conditions appropriate for an e-visit include:

Dermatology:

  • Birth control (whether starting a new method, switching methods, or trying a different brand of the same method)
