Shree Lata Radhakrishnan, MD, to See Women’s Heart Center Patients at Multiple Locations

CINCINNATI (October 16, 2024) – Shree Lata Radhakrishnan, MD, a board-certified cardiologist has joined The Christ Hospital Physicians – Heart & Vascular team. Specializing in cardiovascular disease, Dr. Radhakrishnan, will provide women’s heart care to patients of The Christ Hospital Women’s Heart Center at the new location in Mason and Ft. Wright offices in Kentucky.

“We are thrilled that Dr. Radhakrishnan has joined our talented team of cardiologists at The Christ Hospital Health Network,” said Odayme Quesada, MD, Medical Director for The Christ Hospital Women’s Heart Center. “There are important sex differences in heart disease, that is why we have built the Women’s Heart Center and are excited to have a cardiologist that is passionate about caring for our female patients. Dr. Radhakrishnan will bring her expertise to one of the fastest growing women’s heart centers in the country.”

Watching her family struggle with heart disease inspired her to go into medicine focusing on preventative cardiology. “I am excited to be joining the team of physicians, nurses and staff of The Christ Hospital Women’s Heart Center,” said Dr. Radhakrishnan. “We are here to listen to our patients and fight heart disease together with a focus on both treatment of existing conditions and on preventative care. I strongly believe in the importance of open communication and a patient’s ability to make informed and shared decisions about their care.”

Dr. Radhakrishnan earned her Medical Degree from Vinayaka Missions Medical College at Pondicherry University in India and holds a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation from Northwestern University. She completed an internship at Christian Medical College in Vellore, India, and a residency in internal medicine at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, where she served as Chief Resident. Following her residency, she served as an internal medicine hospitalist at Beth Israel Deaconess in Boston and as a part-time instructor of medicine at Harvard Medical School. She then completed a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at Louisiana State University where she received the Raja Dhurandhar Cardiovascular Disease Outstanding Fellow award. Dr. Radhakrishnan is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and a member of both the American College of Cardiology and American Society of Echocardiography.
