Cincinnati (December 15, 2023) –The Christ Hospital Health Network & The Sam Hubbard Foundation dropped off cereal boxes, snacks and water to students at William H. Taft Elementary on Friday. Team members of The Christ Hospital Health Network donated 1,237 boxes of cereal, enough for every student to bring four boxes home. Many of these students receive free breakfasts during the school week.
The donation of additional snacks and water was donated from the Hubbard's Cupboards program, a joint partnership between Crayons to Computers and the Sam Hubbard Foundation.
"We are happy to once again donate much-needed cereal for students at William H. Taft Elementary School ahead of the holidays,” said Lori Fey, clinical nurse manager at The Christ Hospital Health Network and organizer of the cereal drive. “Our team members look forward to making a positive impact on the community. This year, by partnering with The Sam Hubbard Foundation, we’re doing everything it takes to make sure these students start each day with food on their tables.”
"We believe these donations will have a huge impact on children during the holiday break,” said Matt Kittell, director of The Sam Hubbard Foundation. “We want to make sure these students feel love and joy this holiday season and we are thankful for the opportunity to continue to spread a message of hope in Cincinnati.”
