Equity and Inclusion in Our Community
Community involvement at The Christ Hospital Health Network is in our DNA. Since our beginning, we've worked to make the place we live, work and play better for all of us.
We recognize that our commitment to equity and inclusion in Greater Cincinnati needs to extend beyond our more than 100 locations in the region.
These are a few examples of our mission to improve health equity and inclusion in our community.
Community Health Needs Assessment
Every three years, The Christ Hospital conducts a Community Health Needs Assessment to identify the most prevalent health needs in our service area and to establish a course of action to address those needs. We partner with the Health Collaborative, a data-driven nonprofit organization that works with local and regional hospitals on healthcare improvement projects. Supplier diversity
Our commitment to diversity goes beyond our patients and team members to how we conduct business. We strive to build valued partnerships with qualified and diverse customers and suppliers.
We actively seek to work with minority-owned vendors and contractors who can help us meet our mission for the highest quality and affordable care. As a nonprofit organization, we make smart economic decisions, and realize the most robust cost-savings using the best vendors available.

Center for Closing the Health Gap
The Christ Hospital has supported the Center for Closing the Health Gap's work to address racial disparities in healthcare since its formation in 2004. We partner with the Health Gap in its Do Right! Block by Block Campaign in Mt. Auburn to educate neighborhood residents on improving their overall health through physical activity, nutritional knowledge, and healthy eating habits.
William H. Taft Elementary School Mission
The Christ Hospital has a long relationship with the students and staff at William H. Taft Elementary, a STEM magnet school near The Christ Hospital in Mt. Auburn. Our staff is active in volunteering alongside school faculty and families to encourage students in their learning.
Recent initiatives include:
