The Christ Hospital PGY2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency Program

Prospective PGY2 Ambulatory Care Residency Candidate,

Thank you for your interest in our program! This is an exciting time as we recruit our first PGY2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy resident. Our website includes specifics about our program and what you can expect as a PGY2 Ambulatory Care resident. You will have the opportunity to work with pharmacist preceptors in the ambulatory care setting as well as providers, staff, social workers, care mangers, behavioral health consultants, and specialists to help improve patient outcomes in the outpatient clinics.

The Christ Hospital Health Network has almost 40 primary care physician offices across Greater Cincinnati and each have pharmacist coverage. The resident will have the opportunity to learn from many ambulatory care pharmacist preceptors and work in a variety of outpatient settings during the year to further develop their skills. I am confident that our program will provide many opportunities to the resident to become a well-rounded and independent ambulatory care pharmacist. Although, the PGY2 Ambulatory Care residency is a new program at The Christ Hospital, we have other residency programs fully accredited with ASHP and plan to have full accreditation in the Spring of 2026.

If you have any questions, please contact me directly. Best of luck in your residency search!

Sincerely,

Emily Pierson, PharmD, BCPS, BCGP
