Show us your strong

We were blown away by how many of you shared your stories through our Show Us Your Strong campaign. The level of strength, courage and support represented in our group of entries is truly awe-inspiring. We’re thrilled to announce our winners: Jodi Owens and Melissa Spaulding. These extraordinary women each received two VIP tickets to tonight’s Q102 Bosom Ball for Breast Cancer!

Jodi is a 32-year-old pediatric nurse and breast cancer survivor who couldn’t attend the Bosom Ball last year because she was undergoing a double mastectomy the very same day. “Even at my weakest, I refused to quit!” she says. “Sometimes the worst news you ever receive can end up being the most powerful part of your story.”

Melissa was diagnosed with stage II breast cancer in September 2015 and had a double mastectomy that October. After three months of chemotherapy and another surgery, she’s coming down the homestretch. “On October 27, I will have another small surgery, which I hope will be my last!” she says.
