Dr. Tobler earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and the University of Innsbruck in Austria. He received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati and he completed his internship at Good Samaritan Hospital and his residency at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and Mayfield Clinic.
He is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and his areas of expertise include: minimally invasive spine surgery, including discectomy, spinal fusion, decompression, artificial disc replacement, and outpatient minimally invasive lumbar spine fusion; minimally invasive deformity correction; tumors of the brain and spine; stereotactic and image-guided neurosurgery; endoscopic pituitary surgery; and Chiari malformations.
Dr. Tobler is a member of: the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Association of Pre-sacral Spine Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery, North American Spine Society, Society of Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery and the World Federation of Stereotactic Neurosurgery.
